Baroness Marianne de Geer af Leufsta was the daughter of court chamberlain Baron Louis de Geer af Leufst and Baroness Martha Cederström.
The necklace comprises twelve graduated oval-cut foil-backed pink sapphire within openwork old-mine and rose-cut diamond surrounds as rosettes, joined by single-stone diamond collet spacers. Made in the first half of the 19th century size 16 1/8 ins., mounted in silver-topped gold.
With matching ear pendants earrings which are set with small diamonds, the larger center stones are paste.
The collar may have been a gift when she married the eldest son of Prince and Princess Oscar of Sweden, Carl Oscar Bernadotte, Graf von Wisborg in 1915.
She wore it as short Collar above!
The large collar with royal provinience was sold in the 1980 together with the ear pendants. And offered in 2017, now setwith rubies insted of the pink sapphires and without the ear pendants.
Princess Oscar, née Ebba Monk, owned some very special historic jewels from her husband's family which were given to her by her mother-in-law Queen Sophia of Sweden.
The couple had four children and in 1935, after 20 years of marriage, they divorced. In 1936, Countess Marianne married Marcus Wallenberg, a member of the "Swedish Rothschilds".
On the right, she is seen again wearing the diamond loop tiara.
