Diadem Erzherzogin von Österreich

Schmuck und Juwelen des Österreichischen Kaiserhauses sind leider sehr rar, es ist nicht bekannt ob diese Diadem aus der Familie der Braut oder des Bräutigams stammt.

Prinzessin Ileana trug es am Ball ihrer Hochzeit, mit dem Sohn von Erzherzog von Österreich.

Das Diadem ist in grossen mit Diamant besetzten offenen Schlaufen, leicht und luftig in Ranken auslaufend gearbeitet. Die aufgerichteten Elemente aus Gold mit Silber sind auf einer Linie von Diamanten als Basis befestigt. Der Mittelpunkt wird von einem Blütenornament ausgefüllt, der von einem Diamanten dominiert wird. Kleineres Rankwerk schlingt sich zwischen die Voluten und der Diamantreihe auf dem Gerüst des Diadems, ein richtiges "Schmuckstück" das über die Maße durch seine Form wirkt, grazile, edel und zeitlos.

Unfortunately, jewellery and jewels of the Austrian imperial house are very rare; it is not known whether this diadem comes from the family of the bride or that of the bridegroom. Princess Alexandra von Wrede wore this tiara in 1998, at her marriage with Archduke Karl Peter von Habsburg at Schloss Ellingen, Bavaria. Ellingen is the seat of the Princely House of Wrede. It was the same tiara worn in 2005 by Countess Katalin Bethlen de Bethlen, who married Princess Alexandra’s brother, the hereditary Prince of Wrede. The diadem is worked in large open scrolls of diamonds, with tendrils between them. The raised elements of gold set with silver are affixed to a row of diamonds forming the base. The central element is that of a flower dominated by a cushion-shaped diamond. Smaller tendrils twine between the scrolls and the diamond base of the diadem creating a graceful, noble and timeless jewel.
