Königin Wilhelmina mit dem Ehrengeschenk ihrer Mutter Emma
Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde die Sitte der "Nationalen Geschenke"
- als Huldigung des ganzen Volkes an das Königshaus - zu besonderen
Anlässen eingeführt . Die niederländische Bevölkerung
hat, durch diesen Brauch, in den letzen 150 Jahren der königlichen
Familie einige bedeutende Juwelen geschenkt.
Königin Emma bekamt als erste Königin ein kostbares Collier
und eine Brosche als "Ehrengeschenk". 1878 wurde ein Nationales
Komittee gebildet um das benötigte Geld zu sammeln und der Amsterdamer
Juwelier Jitta en la Chapelle beauftragt, Entwürfe anzufertigen.
Das Haus hat schon seit Mitte des 19. Jh. königliche Aufträge
ausgeführt.
Die Juwelen aus Diamanten, wurden am Montag den 21. April 1879 im Palais
op den
Dam an Königin Emma überreicht. Das grosszügige Geschenk
bestand aus einem Collier od.
Halskette mit 34 Brillianten, einer sogenannten Reviere und aus einer
beeindruckenden Brosche mit 214 grossen und kleineren Steinen, im neugriechischen
Stil.
Am 22. April wurde extra ein Diner mit 86 geladenen Gästen ausgerichtet,
zu
diesem Anlass trug die Königin laut "Algemeen Handelsblatt
- Nieuwe
Amsterdamsche Courant " vom 24. April 1879 - die prachtvolle Halskette.
Dazzling Present to Honour the "new" Dutch Queen
In 1879, the 20 year old Emma Wilhelmina Theresa, Princess of Waldeck
en Pyrmont married the 62 year old King Willem III of the Netherlands
in the German town of Arolsen.
When she (as the new Dutch Queen) and her husband came back to Holland
after the wedding they got several enthousiastic receptions by the Dutch
people in different cities. After their official entrance in Amsterdam
she was given the socalled National Present (Dutch people had had the
oportunity to contribute money for this National gift).
The gift was offered to her at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam and consisted
of an necklace with 34 big brilliants and a brooche consisting of 214
mostly brilliant-cut diamonds set in an art-deco design, neogreque style.
The brooche has three detachable pendants and the biggest diamond set
in the centre of this brooch is also detachable and can be worn solitair
also.
After Emma 's death (she herself wore it frequently on several occasions)
in 1934 it was passed on to her daughter, reigning Queen Wilhelmina
who also wore it on different occasions, like at the picture above..
Wilhelmina who abdicated in 1948 offered it (together with all the Orange-Jewels)
to her daughter Juliana to be worn by her.
And
Juliana was probarbly seen the most with the very modern looking brooche.
It was displayed, in a very secure glass-case during a big Royal-Wedding-Exhibition
in Amsterdam in 2002. It was on loan from Queen Beatrix who is present
owner (officialy of course the Orange-Nassau Family-Jewels Foundation
is the owner).
Queen Beatrix never wore it (but maybe she uses the detachable parts
of it) in public....its a realy beauty and it is so dazzling! Juliana
wearing this brooch very often.

Deslumbrante presente para honrar a la "nueva" reina de
Holanda
En 1879, la veinteañera Emma Guillermina Teresa, princesa de
Waldeck y Pyrmont, se unió en matrimonio al rey Guillermo III
de los Países Bajos, de 62 años de edad, en la ciudad
alemana de Arolsen.
En su viaje a Amsterdam después de la boda, la pareja real fue
entusiásticamente recibida por la gente de los Países
Bajos en la ciudades ubicadas a lo largo del trayecto. En su llegada
oficial a la ciudad, la reina recibió el denominado “Presente
Nacional” (El pueblo Holandes había reunido el dinero para
este obsequio).
El presente le fue entregado en el palacio real de Amsterdam. Consistía
de un collar con 34 brillantes grandes y un broche de 214 diamantes
(con el más exquisito corte de brillante), diseño arte-deco,
estilo neo griego. El broche se puede desmontar en tres pendientes y
el diamante grande ubicado en el centro, puede ser usado como anillo
solitario.
La reina lo usó en forma frecuente. A su muerte acaecida en
1934, fue heredado por su hija, la reina Guillermina, quien lo usó
con frecuencia, tal como puede observarse en la foto superior. Guillermina,
quien abdicó en 1948, lo entregó -junto con todas las
Joyas de Orange a su hija Juliana. Juliana fue mayormente vista luciendo
el broche de estilo moderno.
La reina Beatriz permitió que fuera exhibido (en una vitrina
de cristal de seguridad) durante la Exposición que fue llevada
a cabo en Amsterdam en el año 2002. con motivo de la Boda Real.
En realidad, el dueño oficial de las joyas es la Fundación
de las Joyas de la Familia de Orange-Nassau..
La reina Beatriz ha sido vista solamente usando las piezas desmontables.
