The wedding of Carla-Maria Royo-Villanova y Urrestarazu (Princess Carla) to
Kubrat, Prince of Panagjuriste (b. 1965) took place on 02 Jul 1993 in Madrid.

The bride wore a diamond tiara which had also been worn by Queen Margarita (the mother of the groom) and Giovanna di Savoia, Princess of Italy, Tsaritsa of Bulgaria (the grandmother of the groom). The painting of Giovanna was made and was on display in January 1930, on the occassion of royal wedding of her brother the crown prince of italy, before her wedding, so she owned it before her marriage with Tsar Boris III.
