SON OF LORD HOWARD DE WALDEN MARRIED
The Hon. John Scott Ellis, son and heir Howard Walden, and Irene Countess of Harrach were married in the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Munich. The church ceremony was conducted by the bride’s uncle, Count Albert Preising, brother of the Bishop of Aichstaett. The bride, who is 23 was attended by seven bridesmaids, including four sisters the bridegroom.
She wore a gown of silver brocade, with a long train carried four pages wearing white sailor suits. She had a bouquet of white lilies, specially imported from Holland.

After skiing at Mürren in Switzerland, she spent time with an Austrian aristocratic family, the Harrachs, in Munich.
In 1931, before going up to Oxford, John had gone to Munich to learn German, shortly afterwards John met and fell in love with Irene "Nucci" Harrach and in 1934 they were married, the whole family was en route to Munich for the wedding of John to Nucci Harrach.
Elizabeth, Pip, Geanor and Rosemary were all bridesmaids at the wedding of her brother. Princess Beatrice of Orleans and her son Prince Ataulfo stay at her Seaford House, when they came over for the marriage of the Duke of Kent to Princess Marina, Princess Beatrice had move from Zurich to London and kept in close touch with the Howard de Walden family.
Pip als made her debut in 1934, when she fall in love to Atoulfo. But the big event was the coronation of George VI on 12 May. Pip was bedazzled by its magnificent pagentry as the rest of the world.
She attend the first court ball of the new reign which she found "heaven".
On returning home I'l put on Mama's tiara and earrings and looked too regal for words. How I wish I had one.
She married in 1945 - José Luis de Vilallonga y Cabeza de Vaca, IX marqués de Castellbell, Grande de España.
