Antique diamond eagle wings are made by Chaumet.
A motif that originated in platinum, the wings design became immensely popular during the early 19th century and a bold jewellery theme of the Belle Époque, this pair of wings can be worn as a diadem or as brooches.
Now in the possession of Caroline Princess of Hannover, it's sayed it was a present from Karl Lagerfeld to his closed friend.
The Princess wore it on some events, as well as she lent it to her daughter-in-law, Beatrice Borromeo, when she married Pierre Cashiragi in 2015. The bride put the two diamond wings on her white tulle gown, on her neck, see above in the pictures.
The bride is the daughter of Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, Count of Arona, the son of Vitaliano Borromeo, 2nd Prince of Angera, and his long-time companion, Countess Donna Paola Marzotto , so also granddaughter of Marta Marzotta, owner of the Valentino fashion house at the time the label belonged to the Marzotto Group. The wedding toke place at the Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore, on of the isle of her family.
