Aigrette, Queen Mary Jewels

The wedding gifts included quantities of diamond-set jewellery, such as the aigrette with pear-shaped pearls and diamonds in the form of a bouquet of forget-me knots.

Dorset Bow Brooch

The Duchess of York and future Queen Mary wore the wedding gift of the County of Dorset, a diamond bow brooch. The Dorset bow brooch was made by Carrington and Co. in the late 19th century and measures 4.5 x 7.2 cm. It was later given to Princess Elizabeth by Queen Mary in 1947 as a wedding present.

On the right side, an enameled and jeweled brooch is on display. It was presented by the Carpenters' Company and was made by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths' Company. It was given to Princess May of Teck on the occasion of her marriage.

Triumph of Love Chocker

The giver of the important diamond choker worn in the photographs above is not known. It is an all diamond choker displaying amatory trophies of arrows and quivers.

Schmuck der Queen Mary von England

Ein Haarschmuck mit 2 Tropfenperlen und einem Vergiss-mein-nicht Stäusschen aus Perlen und Diamanten als Aigrette gearbeitet.

Die prächtige Schleifenbrosche mit Diamanten wurde ihr anlässlich ihrer Vermählung mit dem Prinzen Georg, Herzog von York - vom County Dorset zur Hochzeit überreicht.

Die Schreiner und Zimmermänner überreichten ihr zu dem Anlass, einen emaillierten Diamantanhänger, der rechts im oberen Bild zu sehen ist. Man kann das Zeichen der Zimmermannszunft - den Zirkel, als Ornament, drei Mal aus Diamanten erkennen.
