Diamanthalsband und Schmuck der Herzogin von Albany

Erbprinz Hubertus von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha heiratete im Mai 2009 seine Verlobte Kelly Rondestvedt auf dem ehemaligen Wohnsitz der herzoglichen Familie. Die Braut trug als Schmuck ein Diamanthalsband, das aus dem Besitz der Herzogin Helen von Albany stammt.

Die Herzogin, rechts im Bild mit dem Collier, erhielt es als Hochzeitsgeschenk von ihren Eltern und vererbte es ihrem Sohn, dem späteren Eduard Herzog von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, Vorfahre des Bräutigams.

Das historische Stück trug die Erbprinzessin auch anlässlich der Hochzeit der Kronprinzessin 2010 in Stockholm am Abend vor der Trauung.

Bemerkenswert auf dem Bild der Hochzeit in Coburg ist auch der Brautstrauss der mit Diamanten "gespickt" ist.....ein wahrlich herzoglicher Brautschmuck.

Hubertus, Hereditary Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, great-great-grandson of Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany married in 2009 Kelly Jeanne Rondestvedt.

On this occasion the new Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha wore a family heirloom. Originally, the necklace was a wedding gift to Princess Helen of Waldeck-Pyrmont, the bride of Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, from her parents (seen in the picture on the lower-right side). Also remarkable is the sparkling bridal bouquet; the center of the flowers are studded with real diamonds.
