Ehe 1938 Dominicus Prinz Radziwill. Die Ehe wurde 1946 geschieden und 1952 kirchlich annulliert. In 2. Ehe heiratete sie am 28. November 1949 Don Raymund Principe della Torre e Tasso, 2.

Sapphire and Diamond Parure of Princess Eugenie of Greece|Mellerio dits Meller|Royal Jewel History

An impressive sapphire and diamond parure from the collection of H.S.H. Prince Carlo della Torre e Tasso is estimated to fetch $150,000-200,000. The necklace is designed as a chain of 11 clusters, each set with an oval sapphire within a cushion-shaped diamond border and a pair of matching earrings, later screw fittings on the earrings, mounted in gold and silver, French assay marks and maker's marks, necklace length approximately 390mm and weight 242, later fitted case by Mellerio dits Meller.

According to Mellerio's archives, this parure was purchased by H.H Eugène, Prince de Ligne, Prince d'Amblise et d'Epinoy. The white leather fitted case stamped with a gold princely crown was made on the occasion of the marriage of his daughter Princess Marie Suzanne de Ligne and Prince Alexander von Thurn und Taxis, Duke of Castelduino in 1906
.

Princess Marie Suzanne's son, Raymondo, married Princess Eugénie of Greece and she inherited the set which in turn was left to her son, the current owner.

Further pieces from this same collection include a sapphire and diamond brooch (estimated at $25,000-45,000) and a pearl and diamond devant de corsage (estimated at $40,000-60,000). The former belonged to Princess Eugénie while the later formerly belonged to Queen Olga of Greece, Princess Marie Bonaparte (also known as Princess George of Greece and Denmark) and Princess Eugénie of Greece and Denmark. The noble jewels were auctioned at Sothebys in Geneva, May 2010.
Princess Eugénie "Evgenia" of Greece and Denmark 1910-1989, in the picture on top, was the only daughter of Prince George of Greece and Denmark and his wife, Marie Bonaparte, daughter of Prince Roland Bonaparte. Her father was the second son of George I of Greece and Olga, Queen of Greece.

She married Prince Dominic Radziwill in 1938 and divorced in 1946. Eugénie remarried in 1949 to Prince Raymundo della Torre e Tasso, Duke of Castel Duino. Their marriage also ended in divorce, in 1965. They had one son, Prince Carlo Alessandro, Duke of Castel Duino who is now the owner of the collection.

Her mother, Princess Marie Bonaparte 1882-1962, was a great-grandniece of Emperor Napoleon I of France. She was a daughter of Prince Roland Bonaparte 1858-1924 and Marie-Félix Blanc 1859-1882. Her paternal grandfather was Pierre Napoleon Bonaparte, son of Lucien Bonaparte, who was one of Napoleon's younger brothers. Her maternal grandfather was François Blanc, the principal real-estate developer of Monte Carlo. It was from this side of her family that Marie inherited her great fortune as her mother, who was the only daughter, died of an embolism induced when giving birth to Marie.

The marriage with Prince George of Greece in 1907 was forced by her ambitious grandmother Princess Pierre and no expense was spared in making the wedding a splendid princely event.
Princess Marie's trousseau was magnificent and all her wedding jewels were commissioned from Cartier for the occasion. The jewels were so sumptuous that Cartier himself decided to display them all to the public in the Paris workshop windows at the time of the wedding.

The story of her relationship with Sigmund Freud, and her interesting life was made into a movie "Princess Marie", released in 2004, with Catherine Deneuve as Princess Marie Bonaparte.
