MARRIAGE OF THE EARL OF KILMOREY AND MISS BALDOCK.
Yesterday forenoon, at St. Peter's, Eaton-square, the Earl of Kilmorey was married to Miss Nellie Baldock, second daughter of the late Mr. E. H. Baldock, formerly M.P. for Shrewsbury, The wedding psrty began to arrive shortly before eleven o'clock. Among the early arrivals were Viscountess Newry, Mrs. Baldock, Lord and Lady Colville, Lord and Lady Carrington, Colonel Hon. W. J. and Mra. Colville, the Bight Hon. Colonel and Mrs. Taylor, Hon. Lady Simeon and Miss Simeon, Mr. P. Currie, Mr. A. Montgomery, Lord and Lady Otho Fitzgerald, Sir Thomas snd Hon. Lady Bateson, Mr. Hamilton Aide, Mr. Ward Cook, Mr. Arthur Knox, tho Spanish Minister, the Marquis d'Azeglio, Count E. Batthy- any, Prince Dolgorouky, Archdeacon Jennings and Mrs. Wylie, and a host of other friends, completely filling the seats in the centre aisle.
The galleries were also filled with spectators. The Earl of Kilmorey came early, accompanied by the Hon. Edward Needham, R.N., his brother, who acted as best man. The biide, accompanied by her brother, Mr. Edward Baldock, wbo after wards gave her away, arrived shortly after half-past eleven o'clock, and was received by her six brides- maids, namely, Miss Baldock, sister of the bride ; Lady Mary Needham, sister of the bridegroom ; Hon. Caroline Eoche, EI iss Sybell Coibet, Hon. Blanche Colville, and Miss Colville
Wedding ging the marriage hymn, " The voice that breathed ocr Eden,' followed by the clergyman and the bride resting on the arm of her brother, and her six attendant bridesmaids, namely, Miss Baldock (sister ol the bride), Lady Mary Needbam (sister of the bridegroom), Hon Caroline Roche, Miss Sybell Corbet, Hon. Blanche Colville, and Miss Colville.
The bride wore a dress of ivory white satin duchesse, the petticoat being richly embroidered with flowers in seed pearls and edged with a deep fringe. The train of similar satin was trimmed with broad flowers of point de Flanders and bouquets and sprays of orange blossoms, the bodice being embroidered in seed pearls to match the petticoat, and over a wreath of orange flwwers a plain tulle veil.
Her jewels consisted of the diamond and sapphire ornaments given by the bridegroom.
The bridesmaid's dresses were composed of cream-coloured lace, the bodice and drapery being of mauve surah, with bonnets to match, wreathed by a band of pansies. Each lady wore a broad gold band bracelets with an earl's coronet flanked by the letters 'N. K." in the corner. The choristers having taken their places in the chancel, the marriage ceremony was commenced by the Rev. AtheNtan Corbet, M.A., Rector of Adderley, Market Drayton who was assisted by the Rev. Augustus N. Birch, M.A , Rector of North Church, Berkhampstead. Tne service was choral, and before the concluding blessing the choir sang a marriage hymn. After the legal registration of the marriage, and the distribution of wedding tavours of orange blossoms and maiden-hair fern, the Earl and his bride quitted the church, the organist playing Mendelssohn's " Wedding Maroh." Mrs. Baldock afterwards gave the wedding break fost at her residence, 8, Grosvenorplace, to about 200 guests. The Hungarian band played a selection of choice music during the nuptial feast from one of the upper storeys of the principal staircase.
Among the relatives and friends attending on the festive occa ion were the Duchess of Montrose, the Brazilian Minister the Marquis of Ailesbury, the Marquis and Marchioness of Londonderry, the Earl and Countess of Antrim Viscount Newry and Lady Mary Needham, Viscount and Viscountess Hill. Edward Needbam, Mr and Lady Isabella Schuster, Mr. and Lady Lucy Drury Lowe, Sir Vincent and Lady Corbet and Misses Corbet, Sir Barrington and Lady Simeon, Colonel and Mrs. Blacket, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Corbett, Mr and Mrs. Edward Baldock, Miss Baldock, Mr. Brooke (Greuadier Guards), Captain and Mrs. Charles Needham, Mr. Walter Corbet, Mrs. Marshall, Mrs. Coleman, aud many other friends. Shortly before three o'clock the Earl and Countess of Kilmorey took their departure, amidst the congratula- tions of their friends, for Stoke Park, near Slough, the seat of Mr. Edward Coleman, to spend the honeymoon. The bride's travelling costume was of blue battiste trimmed with lace, hat and parasol to match.
The wedding presents were very numerous — over 300— and included from the Prince of Wales a pair of richly-gilt Japanese lamps, the Duke of Edinburgh a case of twelve Russian silver salt-cellars and spoons,
the Duke of Connaught a carved idol (clock),
Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, a diamond pin, and
the Duke of Teck a pair of gold pen trays.
Among the bridegroom's presents to his bride were a diamond necklace and earrings, ruby and diamond ring, sappire and diamond ring, diamond heart pendant with "sapphire centre, two diamond and sapphire bracelets, a diamond pendant, a necklace and earrings of choice onyx, and a large silver-mounted dressing-case, formerly made for the famous Count D'Orsay/by West, of St. James's- street, at tbe cost of 800 guineas, which, when the count fell into pecuniary difficulties, he honourably returned to Mr. West, as he had rot paid for it.
Mrs."Baldock, among other presents to her daughter, gave a diamond tiara, a pair of "bee" brooches set with diamonds, pearls, and rubies.
