Armspangen und Armbänder waren ebenfalls bei den Hochzeitsgeschenken
an die Prinzessin. Ein goldenes Armband mit einer Schnalle, die Schnalle
besetzt mit Diamanten.
Ein Armband aus dichtem Goldgeflecht mit drei Straussenfederbüscheln
im Zentrum, das heraldische Zeichen des Prinzen von Wales, aus Diamanten
auf einem blauen Schmuckemail Hintergrund, das ganze in einem quatratischem
Rahmen mit Diamanten besetzt. Die Schlaufe ist im gleichen Stil mit
blauem Email und Diamanten ausgefasst.
Ein Armband bekam die Prinzessin von dem Prinzen und der Prinzessin
Ludwig von Hessen, es ist besetzt mit Türkisen und Brillanten,
das ganze mittig auf einem goldenen Ovale angebracht und als Mittelpunkt
ein bekröntes Monogramm.
This bracelet was a wedding present to Princess Alexandra of Denmark
from the Duke of Cambridge, Queen Victoria’s first cousin. The
three diamond ostrich feathers in the centre are the heraldic badge
of the Prince of Wales. The enamel clasp appears to date from early
in the reign of King William IV, the Duke’s uncle.
The gold bracelet with a diamond and enamel buckle c.1830 and later
was made by Garrard & Co. 4.4 x 6.6 x 6.2
The turquoise and brilliant-set bracelet with the cypher “L. A.”
surmounted by a crown set in diamonds on rock crystal which was made
by Wondra, Darmstadt was the gift of the Prince and Princess Louis of
Hesse.
The gold buckle bracelet, which has a clasp of enamel and diamonds,
was presented by HRH Princess Mary of Cambridge.
Amongst the presents by other members of the Royal family are a beantiful bracelet of turquoises and brilliants, by their j Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Hesse ; an oval brilliant pendant, having in the centre five sapphires in the form of a cross (the sapphires remark- ably fine), by the younger Princes and Princesses of the Royal household ; a most elegant flower-pattern diamond brooch, with emeralds forming the centre of the flowers and buds, by her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge ; a gold bracelet with a diamond clasp, by the Princess Mary ; a most effective broad gold bracelet with a brilliant diamond plume on a dark ground of blue enamel, by the Duke of Cambridge.
