The present from the Princess train-bearers was an exquisite
enamelled gold bracelet containing hand-coloured miniature portraits
of each of the girls, with each compartment bearing their initials set
in diamonds on a Garter blue enamel cover. The eight bridesmaids, who
were all daughters of Peers of the Realm, were from left to right: Ladies
Diana Beauclerk, Victoria Scott, Georgina Hamilton, Victoria Howard,
Elma Bruce, Agneta Yorke, Eleanor Hare and Feodore Wellesley.
The bracelet was made in 1863 by Garrard & Co.
In the picture above of the bridesmaids, the young ladies in the centre
are holding the bracelet which was their gift to HRH Princess Alexandra.
When TRH the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their silver anniversary
in 1888, the bridesmaids presented a silver casket.
