Halsband aus Rubinen und Diamanten des Maharadscha
von Baroda.
Der zentrale Anhänger erinnerte vage an den entfalteten Schwanz eines Pfaus. Es bestand aus Diamanten, die so angeordnet waren, dass sie als Nest dienten, das mit zwei riesigen Rubinen besetzt war, einem runden 10-Karat-Rubin und einem ovalen 25-Karat-Rubin. An den Girlanden aus Rubinen und Diamanten waren neun Briolett-Diamanten befestigt, von denen der größte mehr als 25 Karat wog.
Die Maharajas waren bekannt für ihren aussergewöhnlichen
Schmuck und Juwelen.

of Baroda, is painting above, wearing her extraordinary Ruby Necklace with Diamonds in the orginal version, around the year 1951.
In the center of the ruby collier there are setted an round ruby of 10ct and an oval ruby of 25ct.
Nine diamond briolettes are hanging as pendants, the largest of 25ct. The large arrey of rare rubies in this size made the necklace so exceptional, on the side the rubies had a size of 8ct.
The outstanding ruby necklace was altered from Van Cleef & Arpels in 1952 and later sold on auction in 1974 at Monaco.
Two similar bracelets of diamond and rubies are seen also on her arms.
