Kunzite sind klar durchsichtige Steine, ihre Farbe schwankt zwischen beinahe völliger Farblosigkeit bis hin zum Dunkelviolett, wobei eine rosarote Färbung durch Mangan-Beimengungen entsteht. Die schönsten und begehrtesten Kunzite sind von tiefer rosa Farbe mit einem Stich ins Bläuliche.

Damals hatte das Diadem einen Wert von 2 000,-- Rubel lt Liste der Bolschewiki.

In August 1917, the year before the execution of the royal family on the night of July 16-17, 1918, Nicholas II and his relatives, who were under house arrest in Tsarskoye Selo, were exiled to Tobolsk. On the way to the Urals, the Emperor's family took family valuables ​​with them, including this tiara.

 The inventory of the valuables ​​found and confiscated by the Bolsheviks in Tobolsk contains 154 items.

This pink Kunzit diadem made of diamonds is number 13 - value of 2000 Rubels.

Kunzites are clear transparent stones, their colour varies from almost complete colourlessness to dark violet, with a pinkish red colour due to manganese admixtures. The most beautiful and sought-after kunzites are of a deep pink colour with a hint of blueness.

The tiara of garland design is with enwinded ribbons and bows, rombus form diamond elements with flowers in the middle, large diamonds are on the top of the spikes. Five oval facetted Kunzits framed with diamonds as cluster, setted between, on a basic frame with diamond in navette design. This elegant and light bow design together with the light colour of the seldom gems, is very much for the House of Faberge.
