In 1942 King George VI bought one of this flower head brooches as a gift for his daughter Princess Elizabeth, followed by a second matching brooch in 1945. The sapphire and diamond flower brooches which belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. are setted with 7 blue Sapphires and seven diamonds, made of Gold in the style of the 50th by Cartier, London.
It is probably left the King Charles, after her death and now worn by Queen Camilla, first time in March 2024.
King George VI also bought a matching brooch in rubies for Princess Margaret, which was sold from her in the 60th .
